wigging

A couple of days ago, I was invited to a wigs & fondue party by a friend I used to date. The concept was brilliant: wear a wig and eat fondue. That thing on my head cost only three dollars, which is amazing considering the minimum price for most head pieces is forty bucks. Some people didn't recognize me; apparently I make for a very convincing 'native' - that's 'First-Nations-people' for the more politically correct of you.

The guy beside me is my boyfriend, Shaun, who I've been seeing for about three months now. This is, by far, the most healthy relationship I've ever had. We practically live together and the love is very domestic. Yes, I would even introduce him to you. And here's the best part: He would be pleased to meet you.

Last night, he picked me up after work and braved the coldest night of winter (thus far) so that the two of us could take photographs of lonely nooks around the churches downtown. There are four of them in an area smaller than a square kilometer and one of them is the oldest in all of Canada, maybe even North America. I'm submitting three scratched photos to a local erotic art exhibit hosted by the most popular sexual health store here, Venus Envy. Wish me luck! I have a week to finish and frame these pieces and I've got work-work to worry about on top of everything else.

That's life for now... As a side-note, I'm really surprised people still read this. Hi, guys!

Hm... Probably not. I'm hoping it'll challenge their urge Not to buy a scratched photo. I could use a little ka-ching.

hey james! long time long time! was even wondering if you still write in this blog. Couldn't think of any other way to get in touch with you.

A few weeks ago, I was in cebu for the up cebu writers workshop. Got to finally meet your former professor-- raymund. Serious man diay kaayo ni sha! hahahaha But really sharp. I was on the panel with him and merlie alunan. We had a swell time going over women's writings (except for one lone guy). I get the impression up misses you, and awaits your return. Even if it takes decades, centuries, even if only in the form of your art, or your energy, or a possible reincarnation of you in the body of a twelve year old girl with three eyes. :-)

best regards,
larry
