Surgery of the Month

Shaun's going in for brain surgery tomorrow to finally end his incessant migraines. He has something called a chiari malformation, a genetic thing that's causing a piece of his skull grow into his brain, giving it pressure that triggers nonstop headaches, short-term memory loss, fatigue, and hypersensitivity to bright lights and too much sound. The surgeon will be cutting him open at the back of the neck to remove that bit of his skull so he'll be knocked out and prostrate for the 6 hour procedure. Unless there are complications, he'll be in the hospital for three to five days, then it's a two to four week recovery period before he can go back to life as usual.

Pray for him please. Thanks.
